Victoria based business looks forward to expansion
The new development at Victoria Commercial Centre may not be built yet but one local company is already making plans for expansion.
Victoria based IT-OK Ltd offers a dynamic range of services for businesses and many of the regions leading holiday parks including the design and development of websites, online booking and ecommerce systems alongside supporting local businesses with their IT infrastructure and networks. The team at IT-OK are looking forward to expanding into new offices later in the year when two new buildings at Victoria Commercial Centre are completed.
Graham Honey of Victoria Commercial Centre said,’It is very encouraging that an existing tenant is making the move to our new site. IT-OK was one of our first tenants and is a great example of the type of young, energtic and thriving business we are attracting. I’m delighted IT-OK is doing so well and the Centre can be part of it’s next phase of expansion.’
Advent House and Beacon Place have received investment of £3.1 million from the European Regional Development Fund Convergence Programme to extend the Victoria Commercial Centre by building flexible office space in central Cornwall. The development has been designed with the smaller SME in mind; the flexible office space allows a business to expand with a range of modern office configurations along with communal areas and shared facilities, such as conferencing and meeting space.
Ian Chambers MD of IT-OK Ltd said, ‘We are looking forward to moving over to the new building, we have come a long way since starting up at home back in 2005. We came to Victoria in 2006 and liked the flexible working space, the ability to grow and adapt our office space requirements and since then we have grown year on year.’
Ian went on to say, ‘Increasingly our business is more client facing and the new office buildings will provide a professional, modern environment to develop our business further. We plan to take on a new member of staff which will take our business up to 8 to coincide with our extensive re branding of IT-OK Ltd and our move to Advent House later this year.’
Chris Pomfret of the LEP and Deputy Chair of the Convergence Local Management Committee, which steers the Convergence programme added: ‘I am please that even though the Victoria development is not yet completed existing businesses are not allowing these harder economic times effect their business plans. When the ERDF Convergence programme invests into projects like this it heartens me to see a SMER willing to expand and take on new staff at such an early stage of the development. I think this shows the enthusiasm for business in the clay country and I hope other businesses will take advantage of these great buildings as soon as they are completed.’
